My Responsibilities

Penny Blue Finds a Clue

Made in Unreal 4

In Penny Blue Finds a Clue,  you and Penny Blue, renowned child detective, get caught up in a murder mystery while making a pit stop at a remote and eerie hotel.

Help solve the mystery by interrogating the quirky denizens of the hotel, snooping around in places you shouldn't be, and regularly checking in with Penny Blue, who is for sure the real detective and not just standing at the entrance waiting for you to solve the case.

Penny Blue Finds a Clue is a First Person Narrative Driven Point and Click Mystery Game.

On this project, I created a dynamic dialogue system that supported hidden options and expanding choices based on decisions made in the game and objects held by the player. I also worked on desterilizing the raw CSV data holding all the dialogue options and their branches/conditionals. These systems were written entirely in Blueprints.

I also wrote a bulk of the moment to moment dialogue and designed the overarching narrative structure and clue map that lead the player through the game and to the thrilling conclusion! I am quite proud of this game and the systems we designed for it.
